My Approach
I believe counseling is about making changes to become the people we were meant to be. My clients’ courage to engage in this process is incredibly honoring and humbling to me. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can face their realities, and I collaborate with them to make the changes they desire. Clients experience me as warm, authentic, grounded, empathic, and willing to say the hard things.
My practice integrates various clinical approaches to meet the needs of clients, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). We might address thoughts, beliefs, emotions, body sensations, behaviors, patterns, wounds, and/or disturbing life experiences. For those who desire it, I also incorporate faith/spirituality into the counseling sessions. Your values are respected and inform the counseling process.
