Justin Farrell | First Responder Therapist and Trauma Counselor in Vancouver, WA
MSW, LICSW
My Approach
I am a licensed therapist with over 15 years of experience, providing counseling in Vancouver, Washington and through telehealth across Washington State. I specialize in working with first responders, individuals, and families navigating trauma, chronic stress, burnout, and the emotional impact of high-demand professions.
Early in my career, I worked primarily with children and families. Over time, my focus shifted toward trauma work and, more recently, supporting first responders. My clinical work is grounded in a deep interest in human behavior, trauma, attachment, and interpersonal relationships, and how these factors shape the way people respond to stress, crisis, and life transitions.
My commitment to first responders began during the events in Portland in 2020, when I observed the intense pressure placed on officers and emergency personnel. It led me to ask: who is supporting the people who are constantly supporting everyone else? Since then, I have dedicated my practice to helping first responders process trauma, manage occupational stress, and maintain emotional well-being both in and outside of uniform.
