My Approach

Hello, I’m Jean, I’m a Social Worker (LSWAIC).

I have a passion and dedication to helping teens and young adults navigate life’s challenges and embrace positive behavior change. I know the transition from teenager to adulthood can be difficult and stressful, but also hopeful and exciting. I aim to empower clients to develop the skills they need to manage emotions, build resilience, and create lasting change.

I use a solutions-focused approach, to help clients achieve their desired outcomes in therapy.

I primarily draw from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to teach skills regarding emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. In each session, I take a biopsychosocial approach, recognizing the importance of the individual’s biological, psychological, and social context in their journey toward healing and growth. By blending this with a strengths-based perspective, I aim to foster an environment where clients can tap into their inner resources, feel heard, and find solutions that fit their unique circumstances.

I'm passionate about making a positive impact, and I work collaboratively with teens and young adults, helping them navigate everything from stress and anxiety to identity exploration and life transitions. Whether addressing emotional regulation, interpersonal relationships, or life goals, I aim to create a safe, supportive space for individuals to flourish.

My license status is an associate license as a social worker meaning it is a provisional license requiring supervision as I work toward full licensure. I receive supervision from a Licensed Social worker and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. If you have any questions or concerns about my clinical work, you can reach either of them here:
