HANNAH MARTIN
MA, LMHC
MY APPROACH
I am passionate about helping individuals and families who are feeling stuck, experiencing crisis, or feel burned out. Using a trauma-informed approach, I work with clients to address the areas of pain in their story in order to heal and experience freedom.
It is my honor and privilege to be allowed into the vulnerable stories and conversations that clients bring into my office. My goal is to create safety for clients to be their true selves without fear of judgment so that we can explore the scary, awkward, painful, and even humorous events that have led to where they are today.
My approach to therapy is down-to-earth, collaborative, and compassionate. I work at each individual person’s pace to create a treatment plan that fits their needs. I strive to be a partner in the healing process who will be supportive, redirect if we’re feeling stuck,
and gently challenge when problem behaviors are getting in the way of client goals.
I incorporate strengths-based, CBT, and attachment-based interventions into my therapeutic work. When working with children, I use Play Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, skill-building, and parent collaboration. Through child-centric interventions, I help children express their needs, hurts, and fears and increase confidence in their strengths.
