My Approach

Welcome! Life can become overwhelming at times, and seeking help can be the first courageous act in achieving a higher quality of living. It is not lost on me that starting therapy requires a level of vulnerability. Because of this, creating a space of safety, trust, and comfort for everyone guides my interactions and interventions.

My therapeutic approach is primarily client centered, which holds the view that people have an innate drive toward growth and healing, and therapy should support that by creating the right conditions. It is a priority that I create a safe, empathetic environment where you can explore thoughts and feelings without judgment. This is especially important to me, as holding space for clients who are exploring their sexuality and gender identity is an integral part of my practice and the ideal space for this requires a nonjudgemental stance.

It is my view that you are the expert in your own life, and as a result, our work together is very collaborative. Because therapy is not one size fits all, I use an eclectic approach from multiple different modalities to help clients reach their goals. However, I do pull a lot from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Feminist Therapy. I also have years of experience writing Gender Affirming Care letters for HRT or surgery that follow WPATH guidelines.
